terrorist attack. today republican senator john mccain said issues and i quote, i participated in hours of hearings in the senate select committee on intelligence last week regarding the events in benghazi where senior intelligence officials were asked this very question and all of them, including the director of national intelligence himself, told us that they did not know who made the changes. >> i think clapper has to say and has to say publicly whether he advocated the youtube video theory, whether he pressed it on the white house and others in the intelligence community and if so, did he do that at the direction of the white house. i think clapper's role here as head of the national intelligence is potentially subsumed by his role as almost a white house staffer. >> democratic congressman adam schiff of california, who sits on the house intelligence committee said today the talking points were amended to protect classified sources of information. were not subject to political spin by the white house or ambassador rice. hillary clinton is set to testify on benghazi next month.
